CONSULTING ENGINEERING FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY IDEAS ASSESSMENT AND SOLUTIONS

PFC team has the demonstrated ability to effectively manage new technologies assessments and promotions from ideas (Proof of Concept) to final mass manufacturing production. Protean adaptive design and prototype development processes ensure the interfaces between design and engineering teams, customers, communities, and stakeholders and deliver a clear infrastructure product platform. At PFC we use the appropriate CAD software to create, style, simulate, and perfect product design in continuous collaboration with the customer. The customer can view and approve the final prototype design, in 3D, before parts are fabricated using rapid prototyping methods including 3D printing and CNC machining, and then assembled in the partners' shop. The prototype can then be used for customized functional and marketability testing before final engineering modifications are made and the transfer to mass production. PFC is intimately involved with the creative process and proved many times its innovative work.

FUEL CELLS DEVELOPMENT PRODUCTS

FUEL CELLS TESTING LOADS

Electronic loads with built-in microprocessor intelligence, with the ability to briefly interrupt the current and take resistance-free cell potential readings with programmable delay. Maximum power dissipation for the device is from 100W up to 10 000W (internally limited) or higher.


TESTING and DEVELOPMENT TEST STATIONS for FUEL CELLS STACK, MODULE, and LOAD FOLLOWING SYSTEMS

PFC offers a wide range of testing systems and ambient chambers to assess performance and safety testing services for fuel cell components and systems and include:

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT

DEVELOPMENT APPARATUS SYSTEM

Long-standing industries have followed a winding path when it comes to sustainable technology. This has resulted in different elements of the business relying on tools that are disconnected from one another. Meeting modern needs for agility and efficiency requires understanding this journey and finding the right tools to break down silos moving forward.

The key elements of prototyping development are proof of concept (POC), assembly, testing, validation, and customer relations. Traditionally, these components formed a straightforward flow from idea to product. Today, however, many POC are tied into the test matrix to be tested at different stages of development. Protean development apparatus system (DAS) allows the fastest way of prototyping with real-time validation and implementation into the modern grid, which is more complex than ever, and improved integration of critical technologies is vital.

DAS is a versatile prototype development and control device that provides a complete development package for sustainable energy system development. DAS working interface is a proprietary machine-learning algorithm software.

Rather than a size fits all approach with general-purpose prototyping, DAS allows the creation of digital-map layers which solve real problems at hand.


PROTOTYPE ASSEMBLY/MANUFACTURING MICRO PLANT

At PFC we master the fuel cells laboratory (FCL) and prototyping micro plant (PMP) setup. Our core team developed and operated many FCL and PMP setups in North America and Europe. We developed and field validated a PMP product that is a controlled working environment for prototype assembly and/or manufacturing for sustainable energy systems including fuel cells. Depending on size, PMP is installed, up and running within 4 to 6 weeks.

By design, it can be also used as a “white room” or a “grey room” for other purposes.
